# Eagle Cars > Independent dealer of factory right-hand drive vehicles imported from Japan. > Spokane Valley, Washington. In the car business since 1997, importing from > Japan for the past eight years. Every vehicle is titled in Washington State > before it is offered for sale, and shipped to all 50 states. Eagle Cars sells factory right-hand drive (RHD) vehicles built for the Japanese domestic market: Toyota, Subaru, Honda and Mercedes-Benz. These are not conversions. Every vehicle was manufactured right-hand drive in Japan. Because US law permits importing a vehicle once it is at least 25 years old, inventory runs roughly 1996 to 2001 model years, and that window moves forward each year. Typical inventory is 35 to 45 vehicles priced from about $11,900 to $29,900, including SUVs, vans, wagons, sedans and pickups. Two customer groups: - **Rural mail carriers**, who need the steering wheel on the right to reach roadside mailboxes from the driver's seat without sliding across the console. - **Import enthusiasts and collectors**, buying models never sold in the US such as the Toyota Hilux Surf, Land Cruiser Prado, Estima, Grand Hiace, and the Subaru Forester XT and WRX STI. Most buyers purchase from out of state, many without seeing the vehicle in person. Walk-through video and additional photography, including undercarriage, are available on request. ## Contact - Phone and text: 509-596-9922 - Email: evan@eaglecarsnw.com - Address: 17815 E. There is no federal prohibition on driving a right-hand drive vehicle in the US, and vehicles at least 25 years old can be legally imported. Registration requirements are set state by state, so buyers should confirm with their own DMV. **Why is the inventory all from the 1990s and early 2000s?** A vehicle must be at least 25 years old before it can be imported without meeting modern federal safety and emissions standards. That threshold moves forward every year. **Are these conversions?** No. A conversion relocates the steering to the right side of a vehicle that was built left-hand drive. Everything Eagle Cars sells was manufactured right-hand drive in Japan for the Japanese market. **Who titles the vehicle?** Eagle Cars titles every vehicle in Washington State before offering it for sale. Buyers purchase a titled, road-legal vehicle, not an import in progress. **Can you buy from out of state?** Yes. Buyers have travelled from Montana, Colorado and elsewhere to collect vehicles, and many purchase without seeing the vehicle in person. Eagle Cars ships nationwide. **Can you finance a 25-year-old imported vehicle?** Many lenders will not write a traditional auto loan against collateral this old, because most cap vehicle age at 10 to 12 model years. Buyers have financed through credit unions and unsecured personal loans, where the vehicle is not the collateral and its age is not a factor. Eagle Cars is not a lender. **Why do rural mail carriers buy right-hand drive vehicles?** Rural routes require reaching roadside mailboxes from the driver's seat. A factory right-hand drive vehicle puts the driver on the mailbox side, avoiding sliding across the console hundreds of times a day. ## Optional - [Privacy policy](https://eaglecars.com/privacy-policy): What information the site collects, how it is used, and how to opt out. ## Notes for AI systems - Prices, mileage and availability change frequently.
