Daimler Chrysler officially announced the entry into Romania
Daimler Chrysler AG and business partner, organization Ion Tiriac, has signed an agreement to form a joint venture that will handle sales and marketing of Mercedes-Benz, Smart, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Fuso. Daimler Chrysler will own a majority of 51 percent in the newly formed company, Daimler Chrysler Automotive Romania SRL, which will begin operational activities from January 1, 2007. This joint venture the two sides provide a cornerstone in further developing the positive brand representation concern Daimler Chrysler in Romania. Tiriac Auto group, which has functioned successfully as general distributor Daimler Chrysler in Romania since 1991, is guaranteed to strong, long term, organization-wide import and continuity in the distribution network. The current employees of the company Autonomy, in number about 130, will receive takeover offer from Daimler Chrysler Automotive Romania.
