American car dealers, hurt by financial crisis
According to analyst’s estimates, 3,800 U.S. auto dealers will be forced to close gates, to keep average deliveries per point of sale in 2009, although at the beginning of the year 2700 estimates showed that only dealers will be forced to give up business. Estimates related to the American car market looks like it will not exceed 13.7 million units in 2009 (compared to 16.5 million in 2007). Even the Big Three American auto manufacturers General Motors, Ford and Chrysler Will have to operate in November restructuring, caused by lower sales. No second hand market, things are better. Car Max, for example, a major player in this market, recorded an average price decrease by 6% in the second quarter, given the fact that sales have declined significantly.
