The 2008 Dodge Magnum full-size wagon is available in Base, SXT, R/T, and SRT-8 trim levels. This model competes with the Audi A6 Advent, BMW 5 Series wagon, Chevrolet HHR, Chrysler Pacifica, Ford Taurus X, Mercedes Benz E-Class wagon, Saab 9-5 sport wagon, Volkswagen Pass at wagon, and Volvo V70. Buyers can choose from a 190-horsepower, 2.7-liter V6 engine, a 250-horsepower, 3.5-liter V6 engine, a 340-horsepower, 5.7-liter V8 engine, and a 425-horsepower, 6.1-liter V8 engine. It comes with a four-speed automatic transmission, and a rear-wheel drive system. A five-speed shift able automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system (with mechanical center differential) are also available.

The 2008 Magnum is a 4-door, 5-passenger wagon, available in 6 trims, ranging from the Base to the SRT8.Upon introduction, the Base is equipped with a standard 2.7-liter, V6, 190-horsepower engine that achieves 18-mpg in the city and 26-mpg on the highway. A 4-Speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard. The SRT8 is equipped with a standard 6.1-liter, V8, 425-horsepower engine that achieves 13-mpg in the city and 18-mpg on the highway. A 5-Speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard. The 2008 Magnum is freshened for 2008.
