2008 Dodge Caliber R/T AWD hatchback 5-door automatic

The Caliber redefines the entry-level sedan with bold styling and versatility that by most standards would define it as a crossover SUV. The design features the classic 2-box proportions of an SUV, but the roof peaks just over the driver and slopes downward towards the rear hatch, giving the Caliber a much sleeker look than a typical SUV. The 5-door hatchback Caliber is expected to be the basis for a number of new cars coming from the Chrysler group over the next several years.

The Dodge Caliber R/T AWD last had a manufacturer update on 06/16/2008. The 2008 Dodge Caliber is available in four trims: Base (in FWD and 4WD), SXT, SE, and SRT4. Engine choices for the Caliber include a 172 horsepower 2.4L in-line four-cylinder engine, a 148-horsepower 1.8L in-line four-cylinder engine, 158 horsepower 2.0L in-line four-cylinder engine, and a turbo charged version of the 2.4L engine. The Base, SXT, and SE engines are mated to either a five-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic transmission. The SRT4 equipped with the turbo charged 2.4L engine is coupled to a six-speed manual transmission. Optional equipment includes a six-disc radio with cassette and MP3 CD play capability, Chill Zone, SIRIUS satellite radio, and a Protection Group that includes front and side air deflector, door entry guards and rear mud guards. The Dodge Caliber R/T AWD was introduced in 2007.

The R/T comes standard with the 2.4-liter engine, the manual transmission and, new for '08, front-wheel drive. It is also offered with the CVT and all-wheel drive.

The R/T comes with the SXT features, plus the Sport Appearance Group, the Premium Sound Group with music gate POW.
