The Cirrus is offered LXI models in this year. Improvements to the 2000 model line include aluminum wheels, a premium cloth interior and a premium cassette radio. All of are standard on the LXi. New exterior colors for this model is Bright Silver, Shale Green, Taupe Frost and Black. Keyless entry, speed sensitive steering, cruise control, a four-speed automatic transmission, four-wheel antilock brakes and a 2.5L V6 engine are all standard equipment on the LXi model. Optional equipment includes a Smoker's Group, a Gold Package and Pearl Coat Paint Exterior. The Gold Package comes equipped with 15-inch chrome wheels, gold fascia, gold budging and LXi budging.
Cirrus corners with agility, good grip, and minimal body lean, and its precise steering centers easily after a turn. Gauges are large, controls clearly labeled and easy to reach. Outstanding head room with plenty of stretch-out space for the long-legged. Almost as spacious as in some full-size cars and wide doors make it easy to climb in and out. The trunk's flat floor goes well forward, but a small opening makes it hard to load bulky cargo.
