1999 Chrysler Cirrus LX sedan 4dr automatic

The Chrysler Cirrus was only available in one trim for 1999. The Lx model was once positioned as the more upscale version of the sedan and it would return to that status with the arrival of a new LX in 2000.

The Cirrus was powered by a 2.5 liter V-6, which generated 168 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque. Despite a seemingly sufficient power supply for a 3000 pound sedan, the Cirrus could not break the 10 second mark for 0-60 acceleration. Fingers were pointed at a hesitant four-speed transmission which did not offer the desired response when the pedal was pushed to the floor.
