The 2009 300 is a 4-door, 5-passenger family sedan, luxury sedan, or luxury sports sedan, available in 8 trims, ranging from the LX to the C AWD.
The 300 began as Chrysler's return to the rear-wheel-drive sedan segment, but quickly became the automaker's most recognizable product, thanks to some daring styling courtesy Ralph Gilles and Freeman Thomas.
Upon introduction, the LX is equipped with a standard 2.7-liter, V6, 190-horsepower engine that achieves 18-mpg in the city and 26-mpg on the highway. A 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard. The C AWD is equipped with a standard 5.7-liter, V8, 340-horsepower engine that achieves 16-mpg in the city and 23-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard.
The 2009 Chrysler 300 gets a more-powerful base V8 engine. This large car shares its basic design with Dodge's Charger sedan. Available trim levels include LX, Touring, Limited, 300C, and 300C SRT8. All are available with rear-wheel drive. Touring, Limited, and 300C are available with all-wheel drive. LX versions have a 178-hp 2.7-liter V6 engine. Touring and Limited use a 250-hp 3.5-liter V6.
